What to expect from your maternity session

What do we wear?

• We recommend wearing your favourite maternity outfit. That dress that makes you feel totally comfortable and beautiful.

• Second thing to bring along is a pair of jeans and one of your husbands white or pale coloured shirts. We can use this with some buttons undone to show your beautiful belly, but without you need to feel exposed.

• Mums-to-be are often stunned at the elegant images that result from creative posing and camera angles that show "just enough." There are many options that result in the gorgeous bare belly shots everyone wants.

• If you are comfortable with showing that bit more,a bikini can work really well. We have some gorgeous lace gowns that show that little bit more. If you are comfortable we can also do some naked shots with draped material so we don’t show too much..

• The "fitted" part for any wardrobe choice is key. Be sure to keep tightly-fitted elastic waistbands and socks far far away for a few hours before your shoot so that we avoid indentations in your skin. Wristwatches are also best left off for the session.

• we recommend bare feet for sessions, so you don’t need to worry about shoes

What happens after your session:

• After your portrait session has ended, we know you’ll be as eager to see the results as we are to show them to you!

• At the end of your session we will organise a time to get together to view your images approximately a week after your session. The viewing sessions are done on weekdays between 8am and 5pm. This is the really rewarding part...... you get to re-live the fun of your photography session and view some great images. You will need to allow an hour to view your images and work out your order.

• If you have a partner or parents that are a part of the session or are interested in ordering portraits, we can organise a time that is convenient to all. You will need to make sure all decision makers are present at the purchasing session. If decisions are not made at the session, you are welcome to make a follow up appointment, however a studio fee of $100 may be charged.

• your order will be processed and completed within 3 week (slightly longer for albums)

• we will contact you to arrange a pickup time as soon as your artwork arrives

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to place my order at the time of the portrait viewing?
Yes this is the time we are able to advise you on getting the best from your photographs, so all of the decision makers in the family must be present.

Can I bring my kids to the portrait viewing session?
Our experience shows that children can be very disruptive (as we know), so we respectfully ask that they do not attend your purchasing session, so that you can focus on making your correct choices.

Can I get a USB of the images?
über photography specialize in wall décor & personalized coffee table books but we do also offer files for purchase.

How long do orders take to complete?
Orders are completed in around 3 weeks (slightly longer for albums)

Is it possible to do a payment plan for my purchase? 
A 50% deposit is required on all orders, with balance due on collection, we do offer payment plans for orders over $500. We can discuss with you the best payment option to suit you.

Do you take credit cards?
Yes we take all credit cards, including AMEX

Can I order photographs at a later date?
Of course you can order photographs at a time later than the viewing time but please note that we keep your files for only 28 days after your photography session.
