How long do you need to photograph the bride getting ready? / by Chris Buechner

The photographer will normally arrive around about an hour before the bride leaves the house, at this time usually the make-up should be finishing or have just finished. This will give the photographer time to  photograph all the important pieces and details of the day ahead like the dress hanging up, shoes, rings, flowers and any other special elements.

Then, the bride proceeds to get ready and once she is decent the photographer will capture the bride as her mother and/or bridesmaids help her to do up the dress and put on the finishing touches such as the veil or jewelry.

We then like to take some time photographing the bride looking positively radiant in her perfect hair and makeup along with photos with the bridesmaids and her parents as well as any family members joining in to toast the bride as she gets ready.
